Catalans beach

Marseille developed around its harbor, initially located in Lacydon Bay before extending to the Joliette. It is the city center of Marseille, housing the historic districts, the Town Hall, the famous avenues, but also beaches no less famous, the Catalans and the Prophet.

As they are located in the heart of the Phocaean city, these beaches are the most frequented of all Marseille. In the morning, they welcome a family "clientele".We see here the young parents accompanied by their children and practicing various activities of leisure: construction of sandcastles, kite and other games for the pleasure of the little ones, but also for the happiness of the parents.

At lunchtime, the beaches do not fill up, although some of the guests of the morning have gone to eat in the terraces, bistros and other establishments located nearby. On the sand, there are those who enjoy the good weather for a small picnic with family or friends, sheltered under parasols, installed on the shores of the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean.

In the afternoon, while others relax peacefully (after a good Provencal lunch), sports lovers organize beach volleyball games. Nets are available to the Catalans and the Prophet. It should not be forgotten that the Club of beach volleyball of the Catalans has its seat here and organizes the international tournament of the same name to this place itself. It is therefore natural that this sport enjoys a certain popularity among plagiarists.

As mentioned before, the beaches of the Catalans and the Prophet are in the center. As a result, plagiarists are close to other places of interest and can make small detours at any time. For example, after a morning at the beach, the young parents we met earlier in the morning take the path to the Pharo to relax in the beautiful garden and enjoy a whole other spectacle with a splendid view on the Port and of course the beach from where they came.
