Pointe rouge beach

Located a little further south of the artificial beach of the Prado, Pointe Rouge beach is also one of the most popular of Marseille and also one of those that enjoy the largest expanses of sand. There are several ways to get there: directly from the Vieux Port, by using the shuttles that link the two, or by driving through the Castellane, Rouet and Saint-Giniez districts to reach Borély and Follow the coastal road to your destination. There is also a third option, which is the most convenient and the most economical: take bus number 19 which serves the Pointe Rouge. This third option deserves to be discussed briefly. It is true that La Pointe Rouge is not very far from the city center and in addition you can find a parking there. It seems therefore preferable to go there by car, especially when you have to carry picnic, parasol, deckchairs, etc. But it must not be forgotten that the attendance of the beach is very important at Pointe Rouge, especially during the summer. Finding a parking space is a real obstacle course, so it is strongly advisable to opt for public transport.Once there, there are plenty of activities to do. The water sport centers welcome novices and the most advanced in terms of sailing, surfing, windsurfing and all other leisure activities of the same kind. Many games for children are proposed for the happiness of toddlers who accompany their parents. And for these parents, there are of course the inevitable swimming in the sea and lazing on the sand.In terms of equipment, nothing is missing on the Pointe Rouge beach: showers, lockers, a first-aid station, a parking lot (as mentioned above) and much more. In addition to all of this there are restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the beach, which are a real pleasure to welcome the beach lovers for a lunch in the water.
